Guidelines: I do my best to gather accurate information and keep this website up to date, but I advise you to use this website as a guideline rather than the final word on any information, especially when it comes to business hours which can change seasonally.
I suggest you always check a business's website or contact them before visiting to ensure you are acting on accurate information.
Also, don't assume a business doesn't offer organic just because it isn't listed here (like I said, listings are still being found and added frequently! If you do find something new that should be listed here, please let me know with the contact form below).
Lastly, I always suggest double checking with your farmers, restaurant servers, grocers, butchers and whoever else, and reading your product labels to be 100% sure whether something is really organic and non-GMO!
Thank you for using the Organic Field Guide!

Why Organic?
I got into organic and non-GMO foods as a matter of necessity. I have a degenerative kidney disease which means I need to be aware of the toxins that go into my body - and limit the amount I ingest as much as possible! This is where organic, local and non-GMO foods come into play. They are grown without the use of toxic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers, so foods grown this way are less toxic. This common sense concept is backed by multiple scientific studies.
Good nutrition is also very important, especially when health problems are present, so it is also helpful to know that organic foods are more nutritious than their conventional counterparts. They are also higher in antioxidants which have numerous health benefits.

About this site
I have to be aware of what clean food options are available to me, so when I moved to Boulder in 2014, I made a list of all the nearby organic stores and restaurants I could find in a notebook as a personal reference guide. I eventually lost the notebook, so I decided I should recreate the list in a format that I can't lose, and that would be easy to share with others. You are looking at the result!
Advertising?
I currently receive no form of compensation for any mention of companies or their products on this website, my facebook/yelp/twitter pages or anywhere else. I am considering accepting ads from local businesses in the future but right now the only reason I am promoting any of these businesses is because I want to. I want them to stay in business so they will be available to me and other clean-foodies in the future!
As the organic options in Boulder are ever growing and changing, so this list must be.
If you have any additions, corrections, suggestions, etc, please let me know and I will update the page!

Field Scouts Wanted!
Would you like to become an honorary Organic Field Guide editor and help this information resource grow and flourish?
This website is currently a solo not-for-profit project. I would deeply appreciate help from anyone who would be willing to join me in gathering information on the organic food options in Boulder and the surrounding areas, or just share relevant information you already happen to have. Scouting consists mostly of making visits or phone calls to any place in this area that potentially sells organic products, and collecting information on what they offer. (Even if the information is "[business] has nothing organic" it is still helpful). Then just use the contact form above to send it to me and I will add it to the site. Upon completion, you will be credited for your work (and thanked profusely on the main page)!
