Gayle Grows It
Young fruit-bearing plants of many varieties including raspberry, blackberry, elderberry, currant, juneberries, gooseberries, grapes, strawberries and cherries. Also perennials, landscape plants and flowers.
Gayle receives plant roots from suppliers who do not follow organic growing practices. But she then raises them for at least a month in organic soil with organic fertilizer, and no pesticide or herbicide use. She now only buys neonic-free plants, but this spring some of the elderberry and grape plants were from a neonic-using supplier. The grapes are mostly self-pollenating, and by the time they produce fruit next year, the neonics will have been flushed from their system. None of the landscape plants/flowers that she sells have been treated with insecticides. |
